I’m Alexandra, an artist based in Donegal, Ireland - but as a true, born-and-raised Cork woman, I won’t pass up the opportunity to tell you that’s where I’m from!

I’m diving head first into embracing my creative side after what feels like a never ending hiatus, and have found myself falling in love with being an artist. 

I have been working more on abstract paintings inspired by little moments that make up my every day life. Some of what I paint lives in my head for weeks or months before i touch a brush. Others start with little to no idea and i just go with the flow. 

I turned to painting as a small way to find myself again in the beautiful chaos that is parenting 2 strong willed little girls. And what started as a creative outlet has gradually become something so much more - a way of decompressing, expressing my feelings without having to say a word, and seeing how small efforts build up over time to create something i’m proud of.
